Sarah’s Journey to Medicine

“Early in my college education, I realized that medicine was my calling and changed my major from education. I took a job at a hospital in Denton which allowed me to meet some amazing Physician Assistants and Doctors. I did whatever it took to see that I had the best exposure in order to make the best career choice for myself. My greatest learning experiences took place within the ER where I was given the opportunity to observe and work alongside a 15-year veteran to the Physician Assistant world. At that point, I realized that being a Physician Assistant was what I was meant to do. I love caring for others and building relationships with patients and families that will last for years to come.”

Fun Facts

Sarah and her family live in Argyle, Texas, where life is full, active, and rooted in faith and family. She and her husband have three children, including 8-year-old twins and a 12-year-old, and two beloved dogs: Scottie, a Golden Sheepadoodle, and Clutch, a Wheaten Terrier. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and their quickly-growing children, cheering them on and making memories everywhere from tennis courts and golf courses to football fields.

As a family, they spent a year living full-time in an RV, embracing life in just 350 square feet while traveling through 43 states and visiting 41 National Parks. That season deepened their love for adventure, simplicity, and time together, and sparked a lifelong passion for traveling, hiking, camping, and exploring God’s creation.

Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering locally, and being actively involved in church and community. She loves serving others whether in a medical setting, through outreach, or alongside her family. Other interests include photography, crafting, being outdoors, and cheering on Oklahoma State football.

"My kids who are 3 1/2 and 2 years old LOVE going to the doctor....and that is enough to make me happy! I also love the multiple locations and evening and weekend hours, the nurses who are great about calling back when you have a question, and two separate waiting rooms."
