Dr. Vani Venkatachalam - MD

Educational background
Dr. Vani Venkatachalam attended medical school at Andhra Medical College, NTR Medical University in India. She completed her residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University (Medical College of Virginia). After a year in fellowship training at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center - Children’s Medical Center in Dallas in pediatric hematolgy-oncology, Dr. Vani returned to general pediatrics. She is licensed to practice in Virginia (2013) and Texas (2015) and is Board Certified in pediatrics. 

History with MD Pediatrics
Dr. Vani joined MD Pediatric Associates in 2015 and sees patients in Coppell office. Her medical interests are in hematologic conditions such as anemia, sickle cell, thalassemia, and bleeding disorders.

Fun facts
She and her husband Karthik have a daughter in elementary school around whom their lives and adventures revolve. 

Dr. Vani grew up in India, and speaks many languages, including Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi fluently, as well as basic Kannada and Malayalam. These diverse experiences give her an understanding and appreciattion for cultural aspects that relate to health and treatment.
